George Walter Middleton, son of the late Thomas and Della Jones Middleton was born on April 23, 1949 and transitioned to his heavenly home on April 18, 2024.

George, who was affectionately known as "Fatman", was born in Pelion, South Carolina and educated in the Lexington County School System.  He was employed for most of his career at the South Carolina Department of Transportation.

George Was preceded in death by six sisters; Essie Middleton, Lela Bell Middleton, Louise Austin, Rosalee Gates, Wilhemenia Brimfield, and Betty Middleton; Five brothers Horace Middleton, Charles Middleton, Sr., Edward Middleton, Sr., Thomas Middleton, and Pernell Middleton.

George leaves to cherish the memories of the life he lived two sisters Ms. Eartha Mae Kelly and Ms. Dorothy Middleton, both of Columbia, SC; A special nephew, Charles Albert Middleton, Jr. and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
