Ms. Geneva Adams Marc, 70 was born to the late Olden "Kank" Adams, Sr. and the late Rosie E. Staley Adams on November 3, 1945. On Wednesday, July 6, 2016, she peacefully entered into eternal sleep surrounded by her loving family.
At an early age, Geneva was baptized and became a member of the Hall Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, Batesburg-Leesville, South Carolina. She was educated in the public schools of Lexington County, graduating from Twin City High School. After high school, Geneva relocated to New York where she was employed by Rockland Psychiatric Center, New York City, New York. After 30 years of service, she retired and returned to live in Batesburg-Leesville among her family and friends.
Geneva was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Annie A. Brown and three brothers, Thomas "T" Adams, John Q. Adams and Stevenson Adams, Sr.
She leaves to celebrate her life and cherish her memories: a loving and devoted son - George Delroy McLean of the home; three brothers - Olden (Pearl) Adams, Jr., Wilbert (Regina) Adams and Benjamin (Elouise) Adams; three sisters - Viola (Samuel) Cunningham, Evelyn Adams and Doris A. Christian; two sisters-in-law - Ruth Adams and Jeanette Adams; three aunts - Kurlina Gardener, Beatrice (Willie) Stephens and Mary R. Gilree; three uncles - George (Lizzie Bell) Adams, Sr., Franklin Staley and George H. Staley, Jr.; a special friend and co-worker of 44 years - Bettye J. Coe; three special caregivers - Annette T. Brown, Helen Caudle and Everlena Ridgell; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many sorrowing friends who will miss her.
