Gene Autry Tinsley (Lil Man), son of the late Gene Gardner of Detroit Michigan, and the late Linda K. Tinsley of West Virginia was born in Detroit Michigan on January 31, 1980, and moved on to his heavenly home on February 27, 2020.

Gene was educated at the Murry Wright school in Detroit Michigan.

Gene leaves to cherish his fond memories his partner of many years Shanta S. Garvin; one daughter Shy'onta L. Tinsley; two sons Gene F. Tinsley, and Za'Darius Harden all of Aiken, SC; three sisters Kim L (Glen) Saylor, Kelly (Richard) Saylor, and Rosa Parker; one step-brother; two aunts Mrs. Georgia Meal Tutt, and Ms. Cat Bird; one uncle Buzzie; Mother-in-law Sherry Dianne (Frankie) Wise of Wagener, SC; on sister-in-law Sandra (earnest) Rouse of Aiken, SC; one brother-in-law Walter (Denise) Garvin of Wagener, SC; one special niece Demetria (Granny) C. Rouse; a devoted friend Keith Wise (Pop); and a host of other family friends and friends.
