Mrs. Ethel "Mae" Summers Anderson was born on April 8, 1948 to Olin Summers and Jestin H. Rawls. She departed this earthly life on February 19, 2018. She received her education from Lexington Rosenwald High School, class of 1966. She was a devoted and loving bus driver to her precious cargo of Lexington District 1 for thirty 30 years. Mrs. Ethel was baptized at an early age at the Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church. Mae, brought to the family a very special understanding and a unique kind of love. Ethel is preceded in death by her father Olin Summers and her mother Jestin H. Rawls, her step-father Verdette Rawls, two brothers: Leonard E. Hendrix and Larry E. Summers, and a long time companion Rosevelt Branch. Ethel Mae Summers Anderson leaves to cherish her precious memories, a special niece "daughter" Senita S. Martin (Leon), a special great nephew "grandson" Antonious D. Summers, a special great great nephew "great grandson" Zyeer Summers,, a brother Harry (Marelda) Summers, and sister Christine Summers. A host of nieces and nephews; other friends and relatives. A special cousin and care giver Lucrettia Strother.

VISITATION: The family of the late Ethel Mae Summers Anderson will be receiving friends and well wishers at the J. H. Robinson Funeral Home, 701 Hendrix Street Lexington, SC 29072 from 4 - 7 PM on Friday, February 23, 2018. FUNERAL: The celebration of life for Ethel Mae S. Anderson will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, 300 Hermitage Road Lexington, SC 29072, beginning at 2:00 PM with a final public viewing starting at 12:00 PM. The interment will follow immediately after the services at the church cemetery.
