God saw the road was getting hard to climb, so on July 7 at approximately 5:30pm, God gently closed Elizabeth's weary eyes and reclaimed His own. She departed this life at the Medical Center of Central Georgia, Macon, Georgia. Elizabeth Geiger was born in Lexington County, South Carolina on September 22, 1948 to the late Jessie Mae Anderson and the late Jesse Geiger. She attended Lexington County schools and graduated from Rosenwald High School. Her School years were highlighted by many years of perfect attendance and being a majorette for the Rosenwald High School Band. She was a member of Williams A.M.E. Church in Lexington. Elizabeth is preceded in death by her parents and one grandson, David Davis. Elizabeth was united in holy matrimony to Lee Horne. Others left to cherish her memories are four children, Tina (Harden) Gartmon, David (Candace Iriel) Leaphart, Jr., Makesshala (Dwayne) Moody, and Byron Jason Cliett. She is survived by a devoted step-father, Floyd A. Anderson Sr. her siblings, Rosa Lee Stevens, David (Rose) Geiger, Mary Ann Richardson, Floyd (Cynthia) Anderson, Jr., Lorene Anderson, Charles Anderson, Tina(Harden) Gartmon all of Lexington,South Carolina, and Diane(Johnny) Jenkins of Irmo, South Carolina. VISITATION The Geiger family will be accepting friends at the J. H. Robinson Funeral Home, 701 Hendrix st., Lexington, SC on Friday July 13, 2012 between the hours of 1pm and 7pm. FUNERAL SERVICES Funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth Geiger will be held on Saturday July 14, 2012 11:00 AM at Williams A.M.E. Church, located at 1323 North Lake Drive, Lexington, SC. The Reverend Tabitha Miller will be presiding.
