Dorthy Mae Staley Daughter of the late Johnnie Mae Tyler and Otis Garvin Sr. Was a Native of Wagener S.C. she gained her wings Sunday, September 25t ^h , 2021 at the age of 63.

Dorthy was born on January 10 ^th , 1958 in Aiken county. She was educated at A.L. Corbett and Wagener-Salley High school. She became a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church of Salley, SC at an early age in her life. She was employed at Columbia Farms & Wagener dry cleaners.

Mother Staley transitioned to death with both of her parents; She leaves to cherish the memories of the life she lived her husband, Hays Staley Jr., Five daughters Sherry Garvin of Wagener, S.C., Michelle Garvin (Derrick C.) of Leesville, S.C., Christian (Hayward) McCoy of Thomasville, S.C., Johnnie Mae Garvin of Wagener, S.C., Shwanda Garvin of Leesville, SC; One step-daughter Betty (Bruce) Corley of Salley, S.C., One Sister Dianne Wise of Aiken, S.C. Two brothers Otis Garvin Jr. and Levron Lee (Catherine) Garvin of Wagener, S.C., four sisters-in-laws, one aunt Louise Scott of Salley, S.C. eighteen grand-children, two great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and family. And one special niece Sandra Rouse who all loved mother Staley dearly.
