Mrs. Doris Golson passed away on Sunday June 30, while surrounded by her loved ones.

Doris was born on February 20, 1948, in Lexington County, SC.  She was the daughter of the late Dora B. and Booker T. Baston.

Doris lived in Salley since 1968.  She was previously from Leesville, SC.

Doris was married to Matthew Golson, and to this union they were blessed to have 4 children.

Doris retired from the Aiken County School District after working there for 25 years.  She was One of Jehovah's Witnesses.  She loved talking to people about the bible and sharing the hope provided by Gods Kingdom.

Doris leaves to cherish the memories of the life she lived her husband of 56 years, Matthew Golson; 4 children Sheridan T. Golson, Adina L. Golson, Daniell J. Golson and Matthew Lamar Golson; 3 Sisters Willer Rene Glover, Sylvia Jeanette Quick-Thomas and Berlinda Boston; 6 Grandchildren Breyod T. Galson, Jada A. Fuller, Kaytlin D. Golson, Justin D. Golson, Ethan N. Fuller, and Lucas K. Golson; 4 Great grandchildren Kingston Jackson, Taton Golson, Paxton Golson, and Jayceon Heath, and a host of nieces nephews, other family members and friends.
