Ida Deborah Lynn Gardner Hayes(Debby) the baby daughter of the late Vandles and Willie Ruth(Johnson) Gardner was born on January 1, 1957 in Lexington, South Carolina and on January 21, 2024 she departed her life at Palmetto Baptist Hospital, Columbia, SC.

Debby attended schools in Lexington School District One , early on she found her passion for sewing with guidance from Ms. Isreal. She took that love and worked professionally for Waters Sail in Lexington, SC and became "Everyone's Seamstress", she also was employed by Lexington School District One( Oak Grove).She was a member of Pleasant Hill Missionary Church, Lexington, South Carolina, she also attended Mt. Olive C.M.E and Veighle Chapel.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, James Milton.

She leaves to cherish fond memories and lots of love:  her husband, Richard Hayes of Columbia, SC two daughters, Monica(Derrick) Nalls, Courtney Gardner, both of Columbia, SC, two bonus sons, Kevin and Keldrick Hayes both of Columbia, SC, her siblings Brenda(Richard) Simpson of Lexington, SC, Ruth(Glenn) Gilbert of Pelion, SC, Clifton Gardner, Simmuel (Tomeko) Gardner both of Lexington, SC, Patricia Craig of New Jersy, Shirley White of New York, three sisters-in-law, Willie M. Weaver of Columbia, SC, Cherl Boston of Hopkins, SC, Cassandra( Ray) Micou of Chicago,. Il, one brother-in-law, William(Deborah) Hayes, Jr. of Eastover< SC, three grandchildren, Krystal(her right hand), Parris, Darrius of Columbia, SC, five great grandchildren, K'yana, K'lynn, Tyrone( Buster as she called him), Tyrell, Tymir of Columbia, SC, two aunts, Sammie Mae Wise of Lexington, SC , Ida Mae Johnson of Gilbert, SC, step mother, Madeline Gardner of Columbia, SC,  step brother, Marcus Singleton, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and  a host of other relatives and friends who will miss her tremendously because she never met a stranger.
