On Sunday, September 7, 2014 in Lexington, South Carolina, the almighty God reached out His hand of love to claim one of His own. Darryl A Leaphart, affectionately known as Bogey, was born on January 3, 1963 in Lexington, SC. He was the son of Annie Martha Leaphart and the Honorable Boyd Jones. He was preceded in death by one sister, Yvette Leaphart and a grandson, Aiden Hiller. He attended the Lexington public schools and was a 1981 graduate of Lexington High School. He received his electrician certification from Midlands Technical College. Darryl joined St. Paul Baptist Church at an early age. Darryl leaves those who shared the joys of life with him and now cherish his loving memories: his parents - Annie Martha Leaphart and the Honorable Boyd Jones; four sons - Antonio Hiller, Darius Hiller, Zachary Hiller, and Jordan Hiller; all of Lexington, SC; one daughter - Joy Hiller of Lexington, SC; two brothers - Patrick Lewis of Atlanta, GA and Jeffrey Jones of Marion, SC; one sister - Chelsey Jones of Columbia, SC; Three grandchildren - Ky'mani Taylor, Darius Hiller, and Arianna Hiller, all of Columbia, SC; Four aunts - Mae Biell Strother, Lula Mae Niles, and Tena Leaphart, all of Lexington, SC and Claretta (Henry) Sulton of Columbia, SC; one uncle - the Honorable Charles (Mary) Jones of West Columbia, SC; a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and sorrowing friends.

Service Information

Visitation The family will be welcoming friends at the J.H. Robinson Funeral Home, 701 Hendrix St., Lexington, SC 29072 on Wednesday September 10, 2014 from 4PM to 7PM. FUNERAL SERVICES Funeral services for Mr. Darryl Leaphart will be held on Thursday, September 11,2014 3:00 PM at St. Paul Baptist Church, Lexington, SC. Final viewing will be held at the church from 2:00 to 3:00 pm.
