Darrell "Wayne" Greene was born on May 19, 1955, to his late parents Paul Greene Sr. and Ozrine Summers Greene. He gained his beautiful, well-earned wings on January 2, 2022, to join his parents and the Lord.

He attended Lexington County public schools. He was an extremely hard worker; he worked many jobs; it didn't matter what kind of work it was. His last job before he retired, was for a restaurant and he worked there until he couldn't work anymore.

He preceded to death by his parents, and nephew Shannon Greene. He left to cherish his memories; His Two Sisters, Carlene (Richard D. Keisler), Ceclia (Silas) Strother both of Lexington, SC. brother Allen Thompson, Paul Jr. (Teresa) Greene, Kenneth, Scott, and Michael Greene all of Lexington, SC. Two aunts Costina Bobo of Honea Path, South Carolina, Arlene Greene Thomas of Cleveland, Ohio, a host of beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends all of whom love and will miss him dearly.
