Mr. Clinton Gantt, Sr. entered into eternal rest on January 6, 2026. He was born on April 21, 1929 in Aiken County, SC to the late Merland Gantt and Ruth Thompson Gantt.

Clinton was born and grew up in Washington, DC. He attended the public schools in Washington, DC and Aiken County, South Carolina. He was married to Rosa Lee Davenport Gantt .

Clinton worked for many years at Nassau Recycling, where he hired many people in the surrounding area for employment. He proudly served his country for 20 years in the United States Army until his retirement.

Along with his parents, Clinton was preceded in death by one son, Clinton Gantt, Jr.; two brothers, Lurmon Henry Gantt, Merland, Jr. Gantt, three sisters, Ruth Dee Gantt, Bernice Gantt Guyton and Dorothy Gantt Green.

Those left to cherish fond and loving memories are his children; one sister Clote Gantt Davis; one son, Elder Myles (Tanya) Remington; two grandchildren, Tony Gantt and DeAnna Gantt; several great grands and one great great grand; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
