Mr. Claude Ray, Sr. was the son of Mr. Eugene and Mrs.  Rebecca Ray. He was born on August 29, 1951. Claude made his peaceful transition from Labor to Reward on January 14, 2023. Claude received his education at Rosenwald High School. He was a member of Darian Baptist Church in Pelion, SC. Claude loved racing, football and especially watching his favorite team, the Washington Red Skins.

Claude absolutely loved his job. He worked for CMC for 42 years.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Richard Ray.

Mr. Claude Ray, Sr. leaves to cherish the memories of his Bless life, his wife, Barbara Ann Pough-Ray of the home: two daughters, Gayla (Guy) Brathwaite and Tiffany Ray; three sons, Claude (Taneka) Ray, Jr., David Jones and James Jones; Siblings, Eugene Frank Ray, Jannie Lee Middleton, Amos (Lorine) Ray, Nathaniel Ray, Morris (Harriette) Ray, Sylvester Ray, Mary Ray; sister-in-law, Sharon Etheridge, 20 grandchildren, along with a host of loving, great grands other family members and friends.
