Obituary

Christopher Joseph Brown, son of Nancy Elizabeth Lucas Brown and the late Joseph C. Brown, was born on October 21, 1960, and transitioned to his heavenly home on December 3, 1960 while surrounded by his family and friends.

Christopher, also known as Chris, was born in New York, New York.  He and his family later relocated to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, where he spent the remainder of his youthful years.  Chris spent most of his adult life in Columbia, South Carolina.

As a baby Chris was chosen to be a Gerber baby, and also appeared in Ebony Magaziner in the April addition of 1961.  He later participated in the special Olympics, where he was a swimming medalist.

As a youth Chris attended the Vincent Cinseroni School for special needs children in Ladson, South Carolina.  Because of his advances at the Vincent Cinseroni School, he was able to attend Michael C. Riley Elementary School in Bluffton, South Carolina, from which he graduated.  Chris then attended the Beaufort County Adult Center until moving to Columbia, South Carolina.

Chris attended the Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, under the direction of the Late Reverend Benjamin Williams, pastor.

Chris worked at the Babcock Center for Adults with special needs.  He enjoyed working in the woodshop department.  He did masterful woodwork and artistic pieces that are cherished to this day.  After retiring from the Babcock Center, Chris spent most of his time coloring beautiful pieces, traveling, and watching his all-time favorite WWE Wrestling on television.  He especially loved going to those WWE Wrestling live events.

Christopher was preceded in passing by his father, Joseph C. Brown.

Those left to cherish those moments spent with Christopher include his loving mother, Nancy Brown of Columbia, South Carolina; bothers Gregory J.
