Charlie Hampton Rowe was born August 1, 1955, in Aiken County, South Carolina to the late Andrew Rowe and Gladys Thompson Rowe. On March 3, 2022, he transitioned from this life to be with the Lord.

Charlie enlisted in the United States Navy on September 21, 1973. He served honorably and received the National Defense Service Medal. Charlie loved his family and friends and will be truly missed.

He was preceded in passing by his parents, and grandson, Antonio Whitfield.

Those he leaves to cherish his memory are: three sons, Pierre Whitfield of Norfolk, Virginia, Anthony Whitfield and Charlie Rowe, Jr. both of Wagener, South Carolina, six grandchildren, Pierre Whitfield Jr., A'shanta Easterling, Marcell Whitfield, Dominic Whitfield, Adore and Anthony Whitfield; two great grandchildren, A'verie and Sophia; five brothers, Ervin (Florence) Rowe, Andrew Rowe, Jr., Ethoin (Emma) Rowe Lonnie Rowe, and Kenneth (Debra) Rowe; Three sisters, Irma Rowe-Randle, Ethel (Joe) Adams and Blanche Rowe; a host of nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
