Carrie Mae Tyler Saunders was born in Aiken County, South Carolina on November 13, 1927. Carrie transitioned on November 9, 2019 at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, in New York City.

Carrie was one of two daughters born to Lena and Clarence Tyler. She received her early education in the Aiken County School system in South Carolina.  She was married to the late William Paul Williams.

Her spirit is gone; however, those who share in the joy of knowing her will forever hold the memories of her life spent here on earth.  She was a pleasant woman who danced to her own beat and took the path less walked

Carrie leaves to grieve her sister in-law , Elizabeth Green of Rockingham, NC, her cousins, Willie Mae Burke, Gladys Williams of South Carolina, Juanita Hartwell of New York City, and many other cousins.

We will miss her Spirit and love.
