Mrs. Carrie Lou Mitchell Williams was born on January 26, 1947 to the late Mr. James Mitchell Sr. and Lucy Mitchell. She was called to take her place in her heavenly home on April 19, 2025.

Carrie Lou was raised in the Batesburg-Leesville area. She graduated from Twin-City High School in 1965. Carrie was married to David Williams, Sr. At an early age, Carrie Lou joined Friendship Missionary Baptist. She was a faithful member of the Nurses Unit—Bryant Hall Senor Missionary.

Carrie Lou worked at Shealy's Bar-B-Que for many years and Rikards Nursing Home, now known as Lexington Extended Care. She was an amazing woman, and a joy to be around. She was a Girl Scout Troop Leader and truly enjoyed attending the Batesburg-Leesville Senor Center.

In addition to her parents, Carrie Lou was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Hester Kinard and Mattie Mitchell; sisters, Betty Lou Sampson, Mary Ann Workfield and son, David (Poochie) Williams, Jr.

Mrs. Carrie Lou Mitchell Williams leaves to cherish her memories two children, daughter Jocelyn Denise Williams; son DeRon Williams; nieces, Shamara and Lasonya Mitchell raised by her in the home, Lawanda Sampson, Sabrina M. Preston, Amelia Mitchell and Latoya Patrick; Nephews, Kelvin (Rose) Mitchell, Jordan Williams, Marland Mitchell, Orlando Patrick and Jicosha Williams; grandchildren, Tradavion Williams; Cam'ron Williams and Dominic Hollins; great-grand, Avery Hollins; Brother, James (Luella) Mitchell, Jr.; two brothers-in-law; Marion (Denise) Williams and Benny (Henrietta) Williams; sister-in-law, Hattie Ruth William; a long time friend, Sis. Nora B. West along with a host of other loving relatives and friendS.
