A CELEBRATION OF LIFE AND VICTORY FOR MR. CARNELL JENKINS. Carnell Jenkins was born October 8, 1933, he was the son of Mr. Goldie and Mrs. Nellie Jenkins. He departed this life on Tuesday , February 17, 2015 in Columbia, SC at the White Oak Nursing Home. Mr. Carnell Joined the Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. He was united in holy matrimony to his wife Evelyn Cullum Jenkins in 1953. To this union five children were born, twin daughters preceded him in death. Mr. Carnell retired from Bulova Watch Company in Freeport, New York. Carnell is survived by his wife of 61 years Mrs. Evelyn Cullum Jenkins; one daughter Joyce R. Jenkins; two sons, Lionel C. Jenkins and Rex V. Jenkins; one daughter in-law Evelyn Young Jenkins; two brothers , Joe (Linda) Jenkins of North Carolina, John (Minnie) Jenkins of New York; five sisters Mary Ellen, Thelma, Pauline, Helen (Eddie) McKuale of Columbia, SC and Zelma (Clarence) McCorkle of New York; seven sister in-laws, two brother in-laws, thirteen grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. The family of the late CARNELL JENKINS appreciates your acts of kindness, your prayers, and your words of consolation during these difficult hours. Visitation for Mr. Carnell Jenkins will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2015 during the hours of 2 PM to 7 PM at the J. H. Robinson Funeral Home, 190 Railroad Avenue West Wagener, SC 29164. The funeral service for Mr. Carnell Jenkins will take place on Sunday, February 22, 2015 starting 3:00 PM at the Zion Hill Baptist Church, 5415 Wagener Road (Highyway 302) Salley, SC 29137. Committal service for Mr. Jenkins will be at the Zion Hill Baptist Church.
