Mr. Bobby James was born on February 25, 1950, in Orangeburg County, South Carolina to the late Mr. Boy James and the late Mrs. Bethsheba Clemons James.  On Tuesday September 26, 2023, the Lord reached down and claimed one of his own.

Mr. Bobby James departed this life at his residence in Pine Dale, South Carolina.

Bobby attended A.L. Corbett High School in Wagener, South Carolina.  He was a graduate with the class of 1968.

At an early age, Bobby joined the Oakey Spring Baptist Church, Springfield, South Carolina.  In 2022 he became a member of the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, Salley, South Carolina.

Bobby leaves to cherish his precious memories: His wife of 47 year Vernell Edwards James of the home; 1 daughter, Tina (Leonard) Hilton; 2 sons, Bernard Keith (Tarshia) James and Robert (Lisa) James; 5 grandchildren, Malcolm (Denisha),  MiKayla (Dru), KaDaija, Karmen, Zia'niia; 4 great-grandchildren, Tayla, Layla, Kamron, and Bryleigh; 2 brother in laws, Arthur Paul (Linda) Edwards, and Roosevelt (Janice) Edwards; Goddaughter, Milinda; Alfred (Mary) Williams who was like a brother to him, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Bobby James will be held on October 1, 2023 @ 2PM at Friendship Baptist Church.  Bobby will be available for viewing on Saturday at the funeral home from 2 to 6PM.
