Bennie Kenny Davenport, Jr. was born on July 18, 1961 to Bennie Davenport, Sr. and Beatrice Davenport in Aiken County, SC. He transitioned peacefully on July 10, 2025.
Bennie attended Wagener-Salley High School. Bennie was employed by Graniteville Company, Fiberglass Company and the Davenport Vault Company. He attended The Temple of God.
One of his most cherished childhood memories was discovering his love for music. He began DJing at the ripe age of 16 years old. He was known for DJ'ing at events far and wide.
As a father, he loved hard and deep. He had a habit of calling his kids late at night just to check on them and say "I Love You."
He was preceded in death by a nephews Nikita Davenport and Everette Jock Davenport.
Bennie Kenny Davenport, Jr. is survived by his wife, Azalee Davenport; children, Benjamin T. Samuels, Derrich O. Tyler, Marquita K. Zeigler, Porche S. Davenport, Shawnquaria T.N. Davenport and Bennie J. Davenport III; parents, Bennie Davenport, Sr. and Beatrice Davenport; eight grandchildren, My'Asia D. Samuels, I'shia T. Samuels, O'mir G.L. Cohen, Tamia T. Samuels, Christian S.N. Jacobs, Benjamin I. Samuels Jr., Lundyn A. Gleaton and Amour C.A. Curry; three brothers, Everett Davenport, Marvin (Wanda) Davenport and Andre L. (Virgnia) Davenport; sisters-in-law, Vickie A. Jenkins, Brenda K. Evans, Carolyn Hughey, Janice V. Houseal; brothers-in-law, Manule L. Brown and Randolph Brown.
Bennie will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
