Ms. Artistine H. Nimmons daughter of the late Will and Emley Posey Nimmons, was born November 13, 1936 and departed this earthly life on September 4, 2107.
Mother Artistine was born in Aiken County, and received her education in the Aiken County Public School System. Ms. Nimmons joined the New Home Baptist Church at an early age, then later united with Smyrna Baptist Church where she sang on the Watson Corrals Choir. Later she moved to Antioch Bible Way Church of Wagener, SC where she was a faithful worker and Children's Sunday School Teacher and Mother of the Church. Ms. Nimmons was a domestic worker for many years, then was employed at FMC and retired from GMT of Aiken. Artistine was also a foster grandparent fro 18 years.
Artistine was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers James Nimmons and Alphonsa Nimmons, and one sister Vangie L. Nimmons; three nephews: Willie, Waymond, and Edward; one brother-in-law L.C. Isaac
Artistine Nimmons leaves to cherish her memories her loving and faithful daughter, Helen L. Nimmons of the home; one granddaughter Aramita L. Nimmons of the home; one brother Willie Nimmons of Salley, SC; one sister Mary N. Isaac of Aiken, SC; one sister-in-law Mrs. Fannie Nimmons of Maryland, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other soring friends.
Service Information
The family of the late Artistine Nimmons will be accepting visitors at the J. H. Robinson Funeral Home, 190 Railroad Ave., Wagener, SC on Friday, September 8, 2017 from 3 to 7pm.
Funeral Services for Ms. Nimmons will be held on Saturday September 9, 2017, 1:00pm at Antioch Bible Way Church, 614 Seivern Road Wagener, SC. Viewing will be held available at the church from 12 to 1pm the day of the services. Committal services will take place at the Antioch Bible Way Church immediately following the funeral services.
