Obituary

On April 07, 1998, God chose to bless Mr. Wayne Darryl Miller and Mrs. Patricia Anne Miller with one of His very own angel's, Miss. Amirah Jamilah Miller. Amirah, was a loveable and sweet child that grew up to become a charming and intelligent young woman. She was known not just for her beautiful smile but for her warm, caring, and affectionate ways. Although young, she strived for excellence and obtained many accomplishments in the field of academia, as well as, in her extracurricular affairs. She was a member of the following organizations: the National Honor Society, the Beta Club, the National Math Honor Society, Honor's Band member, John Hopkins Hospital Medical Program attendee, People to People inductee, a diligent honor student, and an A.C. Gateway member. Amirah was an avid and skillful basketball player and track and field enthusiast for the Wagener Salley High School's War Eagles. She was musically inclined and taught herself to play the clarinet, saxophone, guitar, and the piano. On March 15, 2013, God called his sweet angel home to be with Him. Those who preceded Amirah in passing were: her, maternal grandmother: Christine Jenkins, paternal grandfather: Joseph Miller Sr., paternal great-great grandfather: Eddie Davis, and her great-grandmother-Minnie Davis and great uncle: Leroy Jordan. She leaves to cherish her memory: her parents: Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Darryl (Patricia) Miller, Wagener, SC; 3 sisters: Angel Miles, Washington, DC, Fathiyyah Miles, Atlanta, GA, and Imani Miller, Wagener, SC; 1 brother: Salahuddin Miles, Atlanta, GA; 3 nieces and nephews: Elijah Patrick, Mya Patrick and Tyson Patrick all of Atlanta, VA; grandmother: Daisy Miller, Wagener, SC; step-grandmother Linda Arviso-Miller, Inwood, West Virginia; 5 Aunts: Vicky Miller, Fairfax, Virginia, Nina Miller-Argent, Inwood, West Virginia, Collette Grant, Gallup, New Mexico, Beverly Miller, Albuquerque, New Mexico; Dominique Jenkins, Charlotte, NC, 5 Uncles: Joseph L, Miller, Jr., Albuquerque, New Mexico, Randy Miller, San Francisco, CA, Glenn Eagleson, San Francisco, CA, Raymond Miller, Seattle, WA and Drew Argent, Inwood, WV; Great Aunts: Thelma Dickinson, Albuquerque, NM and Shirley Edwards, Aiken SC; Great Uncle: Johnny Miles, Wagener, SC; and a host of loving cousins and friends. To our many friends, we cannot find the words to express the deep gratitude we feel at this time. Continue to pray that GOD will strengthen and help us to understand that which seem so hard to bear. May God Bless Each Of You! ~The Family
