Allen M. Thompson was born on November 2, 1942 to the late Paul Thompson and the late Ozrine Green in Lexington, SC. He peacefully transitioned on July 28, 2025.
Allen was educated in the Lexington Rosenwald School System. He also attended Allen University. Allen was a Life-Long member of the Hill. He was known as being one of the best Quarterbacks and best All-Around Athletes from Lexington Rosenwald School. He was a faithful member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church until his health failed.
Allen affectionally known as "Wink", "Spider and "Duke", was a well-dressed man and loved flashy cars.
Allen retired from Thompson Superette, owner/operator after 30+ years to become an OTR truck driver. After years of driving, he took a local job for Hertz, where he remained until his health declined.
Allen was preceded in death by his father, Paul Thompson and step-mom, Mary Thompson; his mother, Ozrine Green and his step-father, Paul Green; his brothers, Clark Thompson, Tony Summers, Billy Strother and Wayne Green; his sister, Mary Davis and great grandson, Ace Bullock.
Allen M. Thompson leaves to cherish his fond memories; his daughters, Lucretia Strother, Morra Bethea, Dede Black, Precious (Russel) Osby, Doris Lytes and Allyn Jones; his sons, Densel (Ketha) Bickley, Darryl (Debbie) Zander, Marino (Charlene) Osby, Dondi (Annie) Zander, Channing (Serena) Bowman, Maurice Lytes and Gerald Lytes; his sisters, Corlene Keisler and Cecila Silas; his brothers, Kenneth Green, Paul (Teresa) Green, Scott Green and Michael Green; special friend, Bessie Osby and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many kind loving friends,
