William Samuel Wise

William Samuel 'Sam' Wise, 82 of Cayce, South Carolina died Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at the home of his care provider, Mrs. Maude Smith. Mr. Wise was the son of the late George Hall and Cecil Wise-Quashie. He was educated in the Lexington County Public Schools and attended college for 2 years. He worked at Lexington Dry Cleaners as a presser for many years than later moved to Brooklyn, NY. William was a very quiet, free-hearted man and was better known to everyone as Sam.
Surviving are: his very caring and devoted daughter and son-in law, Jayne Harris(Jerry), of Gilbert, South Carolina; three sons, Stanley, Barry, and Wayne Wise of Lexington, South Carolina; six grandchildren, Jarvis and Jade Harris of Gilbert, South Carolina; Amanda Wise-Davis of Afghanistan, Pakistan; Tamara Wise of Columbia, South Carolina; LaShonda and Brenna of Cross, South Carolina; nieces, nephew, other relatives and friends. William was preceded in death by his sons, Barney and Sammy Lee Wise; brother, James Wise.

Service Information

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 4, 2011, 2:00pm at New Bethel AME Church conducted by Reverend Vernon Dixon. Burial in the New Bethel AME Church cemetery is to be scheduled at a later date.
