Ruby H. Black was born December 28, 1928 in Lexington,
South Carolina. She was the daughter of the late
Rev. Edward Black and Rebecca Harris Black.
OnTuesday morning, October 9, 2012 she answered the call
from her Heavenly Father and entered into eternal rest at
The Lexington Medical Center, surrounded by her family.
She was educated in the public schools of Lexington County
where she attended the Rosenwald School. She was
employed by The Lexington Cleaners and retired with 45
years of service. She also worked at a local restaurant for 6
years.
Ruby was a faithful member of New Bethel AME Church.
She served as a Missionary, Stewardess, Usher Board,
Pastor-Aid and attended the LLL Senior Citizens at St.
Paul Missionary Baptist Church.
Not only was Ruby a loving and devoted Aunt, she was also
a loving Mother who loved her nieces and nephews.
Ruby Black was preceded in death by sisters and brothers;
Ollie Kinsler, Edith Hampton, James Black, Lester Black,
Effie Black, Annie Thompson, Ruth Black, Nancy Rister,
Warren Black, Odis Black BIaIk and Willie Black.
She is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and two sister-in
laws and many friends.

VISITATION
The family of the late Ruby Black will be accepting friends and visitors at the J.H. Robinson Funeral Home, 701 Hendrix st. Lexington South Carolina on Friday, October 12, 2012 between the hours of 3pm and 8pm.
FUNERAL SERVICES
Funeral services for Ruby Black will be held on Saturday October 13, at New Bethel AME Church, 500 S Lake Drive, Lexington South Carolina, starting at 1:00 PM.
