Lonnie Black, the son of the late Glady’s Black and John Keigler, was born May 21, 1957, in Lexington, SC He departed this life on June 14th, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family.
Lonnie attended the public schools of Lexington County. He was employed by Corley Brother's Saw Mill for 27 years. Lonnie joined New Bethel AME Church at an early age and later moved his membership to Spring Hill AME Church. He served on the Pastor’s Aid Club, and was a Member of the Son’s of Allen Choir. He loved singing and ushering until his health failed him.
Lonnie is preceded in death by his parents, twin brother Ronnie Black, and Aunt Ruby Black.
Those left to cherish his memories: His Brother Edward (Revola) Black; cousins reared in the home and considered as a brother and sister, Vernon Black and Vanessa McAdams; nephews; DeRon Jaraski Black and Brian (Monica) Black; niece Shonette Black; great-nephew Bru Black; great-nieces Tamara Dreher and Eyona Black; Special friends Perry Jones and Simmie Summers; and a host of great nieces and nephews, other family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
