Iva Sue Walker was born October 14, 1940 to the Late Mr.Cohen Foulks and Verland Derrick Foulks in the Lexington County. Sue Accepted Christ at a very early age. And worked dilengtly in SpringHill AME Church until her death. Sue retired from Lexington School District #1. She graduated from Lexington Rosenwald High School. After graduation she moved to New York City. She met and Married Mr. Richard Monroe. They later moved back to Lexington South Carolina. After his death she was introduced to Mr.Walter Walker by Mrs Louise Davis . They fell in love, got married, travelled and worked in their yard and sang and worked in the Church together.
She was a dedicated member of Spring Hill AME. She really LOVED Spring Hill.
She was a Member of the Stewardess Board, the Mass Choir, Senior Choir, Treasurer of the Pastor's Aid, Missionary Society, American Legion, Womens Ministry, Senior Citizens Ministry, NAACP, She was one of the Members of the Mission of Faith. a family group that went all over the Community and South Carolina for Twenty years Spreading the gospel through Songs.
She was preceded in Death by her parents and One brother Bennie W. Foulks and One Sister, Willow B. Walker and One great, great Nephew. Mason D. Heinz
Sue leaves to mourn her passing One Sister, Patricia Etheredge; four brothers, Edward Foulks(Lilly), Talmadge Foulks(Delma), Jimmy Foulks(Wanda Lee) and Freddie Dreher, Margaret Foulks(sister enlaw) Magdalean Johnson (aunt) Lisa Holman(God Daughter) a host of relatives and Friends who cherish her memory. She is also survived by two adopted daughters Shirley Harris and Lousie Wise, Nurse,Loretta Thompson-Geiger, and her home health care assistant Greta Robinson.
