Isabella Austin Obituary

Mrs. Isabella Barnes Austin was born July 30, 1914 to the late Melvin Barnes and Carrie Houslin Barnes in Lexington County. Two of her siblings Frank Barnes and Madell Barnes Burroughs preceded her in death.

Isabella joined the Darian Baptist Church at an early age. She was a faithful member until she was called home. She served as the church secretary, choir member, Sunday school treasure, and the mother of the church.

Isabella was united to the late Charlie Austin, and they were blessed with a son Johnny Austin, who preceded her in death also.

Mrs. Isabella Barnes Austin leaves to cherish her loving memories 6 grandchildren: Johnny Austin (Eartha), Juanita Casteal (Mannie), Randy Austin (Ellen), Ray Austin, Thomas Austin (Minerva), and Donald Austin . 2 granddaughter - inlaws: Shirley Jones Austin and Brenda Myers. 2 granddaughters preceded her in death, Debra Austin and Joanne Austin. 15 great grandchildren: Maria Davernport (Arnold), Mickey Austin (Sharon), Tyone Austin (Renea), Angie Jones, Tasha Williams, Kimberly Austin Davis (Marlon), Randy Austin, Bryan Austin (Cheynell), Corey Austin, Courtney Sease, Marieka Myers, Fredricka Peebles (Tyrone), Josh Porterfield, Jonathan Mavins (Daniela), and Alex English. 23 great great grandchildren. 1 great great great grandson: Brenton Jones. 1 great great great granddaughter Trinity Greene, preceded her in death. Her extended families the Shumperts and Berrys. A host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Service Information

VISITATION

The family will be accepting friends at the J.H. Robinson funeral home, 190 Railroad Ave., Wagener, SC on Saturday, November 19, 2011 from 3:00 pm to 7:00pm.

FUNERAL SERVICES

The home going celebration for Isabella Austin will be held on Sunday, November 20 2011, 2:00 pm at the Darian Baptist Church, Pelion, SC. The Reverend Marcello Wheeler Sr. will be officiating.

INTERMENT

Burial will be held immediately after the home going services in the Darian Baptist Church Cemetery, Pelion, SC.

REPAST

The Austin family would like to invite all their friends to return with them to 132 Austin Ct., Pelion, SC 29123 after the committal services for the repast.
