Carl Bickley

Carl Bickley, son of the late Benjamin and Mattie Isreal Bickley was born on August 3, 1958 in Lexington County, South Carolina and moved on to his heavenly home on February 18, 2019.

Carl attended the schools of Lexington county and became a member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church at an early age.  He was employeed as a laborer in Lexington County where he held various jobs.

Carl was affectionately known as 6’9” and was a friendly and fun-loving person who you often saw smiling and enjoying life.  He was an animal lover and spent much of his free time caring for his cats.  When he wasn’t spending time with family and friends, he enjoyed fishing and hunting. 

Carl was preceded in death by his parents Mattie Israel Bickley and Benjamin Bickley, sister Rose Pearson (Robert Pearson), and brother Charlie Bickley (Mary Bickley). 

He leaves to cherish his fond memories sisters Mae Ola Bickley and Dorothy Bickley of Columbia, SC; Jo Ann Lamb (and friend Joe Stack) of West Columbia, brother George Bickley (Frances Bickley) of Columbia, SC; hosts of nieces, nephews, and friends.
